Description
Acne is a Skin ailment in which the Sebaceous Glands become inflamed. Acne generally begins to manifest during adolescence and is caused by overactivity of the Sebaceous Glands. The Sebum produced by the glands cannot escape because the Hair Follicles become blocked by Keratin. The Keratin blockage becomes black, forming Blackheads. In saying this however it is so often associated with diet and the food intake. This can play a major role in loading up the liver with excess toxins that the body has to eliminate, and this it can do through the skin as it offers a quick path for the elimination of toxic waste. This can then have major implications with localized infection and the formation of acne and blackheads. The common medical answer to this is the use of low level antibiotics to help control the infection, and that is exactly what they do - help control it but not necessarily fix it. This use of antibiotics however can often eliminate much if not all the friendly bacteria within the bowel wall essential for general health, as a consequence sickness can often set in. The symptoms to look for are abdominal bloating, tummy aches / belly aches, diarrhea, constipation, PMT / PMS, reflux, gas / wind, bad breath, tiredness, fatigue, CFS, ADHD (in children), headaches, migraines, muscular stiffness, and in some people may manifest itself as an external fungal infection such as tinea, jock rash, thrush, versicolor, white coated tongue etc. with an increase in emotional stress and aggravation often associated with being irritable, moody, poor memory, vague, lack of concentration, ringing in the ears, dizzy, spots before the eyes etc. If you have taken antibiotic and are now suffering these symptoms click on to our candida self test page where you can assess you likelihood of a candida over growth.
Rosacea is a chronic Skin disease of the face in which the Blood Vessels enlarge, giving the cheeks and nose a flushed appearance (especially after periods of physical exertion). It is characterized by papular and pustular Acne, red appearance of the face and nodular swelling of the Nose (known medically as Rhinophyma). Again be careful of antibiotic over use for this
Excellent results are often achieved by therefore eliminating the offending items, working with a liver detox program and most importantly looking at effective immune support.
Isotonic Supplements

What are they ?
Isotonic Supplements are a group of specialised supplements - vitamins, anti-oxidants, minerals etc which by their very nature mimic a body fluid when mixed correctly. This Isotonic fluid enters into the stomach, where Isotonic receptors recognise this as their own fluids and allows them free passage into the small intestines. Once they hit the small gut, due to their osmolarity (an ability to travel from a high concentration to a low concentration via a semi permeable membrane - remember this in high school ) they enter into the bloodstream within 10 minutes with an absorption rate of about 95%. Taking normal supplements in tablet form does not even come close to the power and efficiency of using isotonic supplements... not by a long shot.
