 Description

Anaphylaxis or Anaphylactic Shock is a rare form of Shock that occurs as a result of exposure to a particular Antigen. Its symptoms often include the swelling of the tongue, closure of the throat, massive swelling of the face and possible body and is regarded as the Classic Allergy Reaction and is potentially life threatening. If this starts as an infant then it indicates possible hereditary allergy tendencies with life long implications and cautions, as an older person it usually indicates a weakened and  stressed immune system response. Both are likely food related. The difficulty with this is that although there are common factors of food aggravation involved here, an anaphylactic shock can occur as a result of just about anything.  Good record keeping and an understanding of likely possible aggravant's as indicated on the protocol page can make identification possibly much easier.

Anaphylaxis should always be assessed and treated by your medical doctor first. True Anaphylaxis will normally last a lifetime especially those in which the condition develops early, do not stop any prescribed medicine without your doctors consent.
