Description

The Common Cold is an infectious disease causing Inflammation of the Mucous Membranes of the upper Respiratory Tract. It is caused by any one of over 200 different Viruses (including 113 types of Rhinoviruses). Influenza is a type of contagious Viral Disease. It is caused by either of three strains (types A, B or C) of Influenza Viruses - the incubation period for Influenza is approximately two days (during which time the Virus replicates in the Respiratory Tract) and its onset is usually sudden. Inhaled Influenza Viruses attack Epithelial Cells in the Respiratory System, producing catarrhal Inflammation. Secondary bacterial infections may present as a consequence of these primary viral  infections, possibly requiring antibiotics ( these are often over prescribed by many medical doctors in stead of bed rest with resulting compromised immune systems the result of long term antibiotics). The   likelihood of  establishing a systemic candida / yeast infections by this stage may be quite high. Being in a constant cycle of colds &  infection can increase the chances of other allergy symptoms becoming more pronounced. Food therefore can play a huge role in this constant state of infection. Identifying these areas can be paramount in the quest for improved health.
